These Terms and Conditions tell you the rights and obligations you have. Please read these carefully. Your statutory rights are not affected. The construction, validity and performance of any contract and of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Law of England. Brick Slips on-line Terms and Conditions of purchase apply for use on Brick Slips Web site/s. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to verify the correct email address of the recipient. Purchasing from Us
To purchase on-line from us you must be over 18 and resident in the United Kingdom. Currently we only ship on-line orders to locations within the United Kingdom. Please contact us if you are outside of the UK. By submitting your order you are offering to buy the goods and allowing us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying goods (including passing your details onto couriers and other subcontractors). We will not use your details for other purposes without asking your consent and you may ask that your details are removed from our system by writing to the address above. We are not obliged to supply the goods to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order and this is when the contract is made. The email you receive immediately after placing your order is only an automated summary of your order and does not constitute acceptance by Brick Slips of your offer to purchase. We will send you a further email to inform you when your order has been confirmed. You do not own the goods until we receive payment in full. If you discover you have made a mistake or would like to amend your order please contact Customer Services. Please do this before we confirm your order. All prices and offers are subject to change and availability. Errors and omissions accepted, subject to not selling below our cost price. VAT will be charged additionally on all prices (including carriage) at a rate of 20%.
WorldPay transactions are in UK Pound Sterling and we are fully compliant with the requirements of PCI DSS, taking all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure. Unless we are negligent, we cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you.
We aim to deliver goods to you within the time indicated by us but we cannot give an exact delivery date. We also may deliver the goods in several consignments but will not charge any extra delivery for this. If we have not delivered the goods within 10 days working days of expected delivery then you may cancel the contract. In the unlikely event of experiencing any issues please call us or email. We will acknowledge all questions or queries within a maximum period of two working days.
We will supply goods that are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months (or longer if required by law) from the date of delivery. All our products are suitable for external and internal use. None of the materials are suitable for contact with foodstuffs. Our specifications shall be subject to reasonable commercial variation.
You should inspect the goods when you receive them for defects or damage. If you find a defect or damage you must tell us as soon as possible and we will arrange for replacement. If the goods are found to be damaged or defective prior to delivery to you, we will at our option replace the goods or refund the price paid by you.
If you are a business or if the goods are used wholly or in part for business purposes we shall not be liable to you for any business loss including loss of profits (whether direct or indirect) revenue, goodwill, or incidental, or consequential loss that you may suffer as a result of the purchase of goods from us. Any other liability shall be limited to the price paid for the goods.
We want you to be totally satisfied with every purchase you make from Brick Slips. It is our aim to offer you quality products at outstanding value for money. Please make sure that you check your items carefully before they are used or installed. In the unfortunate event that your items arrive damaged please inform us in writing within 7 days of receipt of delivery. A refund or replacement will be offered.
If you decide you do not wish to keep your goods as you have changed your mind please inform us within writing within 14 days. Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the date you received your goods. All Returns will be subject to a 25% restocking charge. Once we have received the goods back to our Warehouse you will be refunded with 14 days.
7-day Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not completely happy with your purchase, for any reason, and notify us within 7 days of delivery, we will either exchange or offer a complete refund, providing the item is unused, in its original packaging, together with the receipt or order number. Simply contact our sales team for details on how to return your purchase (this excludes bespoke items, such as brick slips and corners cut to order). A collection charge for unwanted items may apply. This charge may vary according to the size and weight of your item. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Please appreciate that we cannot always include bespoke items in our standard returns policy as such items may not be resalable by us. If you would like to return your bespoke item, we might be able to make you an offer for the item based on what we think we can recover by adding it to our sale section. Alternatively, we might be able to accept the return and refund the full amount minus a 25% restocking charge if and when the goods can be sold to another purchaser at the original price. Each decision will be made on a case by case basis. However, in order to avoid this situation, we will do our very best to make sure that your 100% satisfied with your order.
We would remind you that once you have notified us of your desire to cancel the contract there is a legal requirement for you to take good care of the goods. You must return the goods to us at your cost to the Brick Slips, Unit 2, The Wolds Building, Hampden Road, Pocklington Industrial Estate, Pocklington, York, YO42 1NR within 14 days of cancellation. We also advise you to make sure the goods are adequately packaged and insured for their return journey. Subject to the above we shall refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods, less any outward carriage charges (if applicable), within 30 days starting with the day on which we receive a notice of cancellation in writing from you.
